there are obvious biases with certain hairstyles and faces with female monks and eles. i.e. the monk with the two hair buns with the face that makes her look 12. and then the prophecies eles with female sideburns or the crazy anime pigtail crap. ive been in DoA runs with monks that are identical from height to armor to face and hair. i definetely like to see more customizationi thought you had some great ideas.

Well, part of that is because that hair style is the first one on the list of preselected options. Bots always skip those steps. That's why every single 55 bot monk in the game looked identical (so after a while in Droks, etc, you'd get sick of that face/hairstyle).

I hope that Guild Wars will have more advanced technology to do more advanced things than Blizzard seven-nine years before them.

if you are so unhappy with GW how could you stay so long?

I did try World of Warcraft. I found it BORING. You are stuck with such a limited ability pool.
I am making suggestions here so that way Arena Net will implement them which will result in a better game.
The door is over there, if you could excuse yourself from my thread that would be great.
Thanks

Try Sims 2 , it might satisfy you.
I do agree that they have to add a little more customthingy but don't get to excited like this:
- And every character should be able to dye their nails
- You should be able to take coloured contact lenses
...

Toxage if they took a 1/4 of your recommendations throughout this site the update would be larger than the actual game, and worse is that what you ask for is more of an aesthetic appeal than a useful appeal. It sounds like you want this game to be more real than you do to be fun. Let them work on the more ground breaking things.
Sure tattooes are great, but do you honestly want them to work on tattooes more than making GW2 everything you want it to be?
And by no means am I saying abandon GW1, but for what GW1 is, it's a great game. They made mistakes sure, now let them fix it in GW2.

Stolen from World of Warcraft, the ability to holster your weapons, so they can be seen in outposts.
e.g Slot 1 can be holstered by pressing a key and the character puts sword by his side and shield on his back.

I hear Make-up Barbie looks really life-like when you do her up.
If your priorities are how pretty your character looks over the excitement and look of game play...uninstall. Please...
...and gimme your stuff.

If you real wanted to have pure customization rather than choices(due to 20% only looking decent) a self maker similar to the Sim's 2 would be needed.

Not really, it will result in a different looking game, and probably not even better looking in the eyes of many.
Case in point: me; because, actually, in order to comply with my personal sense of aesthetics they should never add tattoos, piercings, etc. I loathe stuff like that, it makes people look ugly. And before they add new stuff, they should remove some of the existing customizations, like certain skin/hair color combinations. Some are ugly to the point of inducing spontaneous attacks of projectile vomiting. Also, chaos gloves and bandanas... why, dear god, why? Did we really need such a cringeworthy way to allow us to pinpoint the fashionably challenged among us?
No, with so many toons already looking like retarded clowns, the last thing we need is more customization options. Don't give them more ammo to offend our eyes.

Yay wammos with FoW armor and those gloves. They make you look like either a baker with glowing flour, or a fluffer(porn term. wiki it). Give people too many options and they will still gravitate to the most retarded of choices.

Addin Stylist's, tattooist's etc etc is just like picking up Fable and dropping it in Gw's lap.
Hi im fable take my hairstyler and tattoo person. Still i would like Tattttoooos that go over my Warrior's eyes and allow me to draw my own styles since most of my pics I have are so knarly..
facial tat's, not scar pattens...

Though I have to say your list is pretty extensive.
I would be happy if they used a similar system as they have now, and just gave us something like 20 different choices for the hair and face (and for any future expansions made the new styles retroactive). And then allowed us to go to NPCs for things like jewelry or tattoos and style changes.

There's no real pressing need for this. If you really want it, then go use Textmod.

Oh gosh.
If this happens I'd never get around to playing the game. I already reroll my chars at least 6 times with this limited selection.
Either way, don't think it'll ever happen in GW but may be a possibility GW2.
